Multiple Hip-Hop Shows Now Canceled Following NYC Concert

Last week’s T.I. concert at Irving Plaza in New York City, which was interrupted by a shooting, is having residual effects on shows in the area.

According to Rolling Stone, concert promoter Live Nation has either canceled or postponed a handful of upcoming shows in the Big Apple, many of which are rap shows: Scheduled performances from Mac Miller, YG, Joey Bada$$, and Vic Mensa have been affected.

On Wednesday, Joey tweeted that his show had been canceled by the NYPD, though he later deleted the post and the department disputed the statement. “There was no NYPD involvement concerning the cancellation of the show at Irving Plaza slated for Thursday evening,” a rep told RS.
