Donald Trump hasn’t taken office yet, but his presidency is already affecting fiction.
“The Good Fight,” the spinoff of “The Good Wife,” took notes from the election in a rewritten pilot script, showrunners Robert and Michelle King said at the Television Critics Association press tour Monday.
“The world changed on us. ‘The Good Wife’ was a little bit about the Obama years. This gives shape to a new show,” Robert King said, according to Deadline. “This is all going to change, and some say for better, some for worse.”
“The Good Fight” picks up with Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) planning her retirement until she loses everything in a Ponzi scheme.
